While I sat quietly reading in the warmth of the winter sun, as it was streaming through the windows, my heart quickened when I came across and read the word: Awaken. It was written in an article I was reading about a revival happening with great magnitude within the world. I knew in my spirit the Lord highlighted this word to me for a reason. As I inquired of the Lord about this word, He spoke:

“It’s time to awaken, My people.

Where, oh where, have your hearts been?

It’s time to open them wide: Revive your hearts for you have lost your first love.

Do not let your heart beat for things of this world; you will become lost.

Your heart must burn for me: Repent and turn back to your first love.

Rend your hearts wide open.

Let My fire re-kindle your hearts to come alive again and beat endlessly for Me.

Let My fire burn through the church for within these walls has been much destruction.

My fire will be like a wildfire that rampages outside of these walls and will burn all that is not of Me. I will be a wall of fire around My people.

Stand within My Glory as I surround you. Open your mouths wide, My Remnant, as truth needs to be told; spoken out loud for all to hear.

Let those who have ears to hear, hear My Words. Let those who have eyes to see, see Me in all My glory.

I have come to awaken My people. Now is the time. Be watchful, be waiting. The time draws near.”

Romans 13:11 – “Do this knowing that the hour has come. It is time for you to awaken from sleep. For our salvation is nearer to us now than it was when we first began to believe.”

Psalm 80:18 – “Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.”

Revelation 2:4-5 – “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.”

Joel 2:12-13 – “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”  So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.”

Zechariah 2:5 – “For I,’ says the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ”

Revelation 3:2-6 – “ Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and His angels.  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
