While I had my quiet time with the Lord, He gave me a vision. I saw war-torn skies with great devastation and destruction of cities. They were utterly destroyed: Complete buildings were demolished. There were smoldering fires and smoke throughout the cities. I have no idea where these cities were but I gained the sense that they were scattered across the world. I was given another vision, where I could see people falling away on the side of the road and dropping dead in a war zone. I also could see a great shaking of the earth. The atmosphere was dark, menacing and raging. As the earth shook, lifeless people fell from the sky in the midst of all the destruction and war. We are in a war: Not only physically, as a nation in war, but spiritually as well. I was so very distressed as to what I saw. The anguish in my heart was overwhelming. The Lord immediately began to speak to me about the vision He gave me.
The Lord spoke these words:
“Be prepared, for I am gathering My angels and My elect from the four corners of the earth.
These will begin the tumultuous times of My Chosen and those that lay wasting away about their business.
Destruction of what you once knew will no longer be.
There are those that will fall away at your side in the midst of the destruction.
The sun will turn dark at the noon hour: The burning of what is not Mine nor of Me.
Do not look back and look at the war and destruction of what is surrounding you. Do not be caught in the snares of the enemy nor the lies, delusions, and pestilence.
Come, gather and seek shelter.
Find refuge in My Dwelling Place.
There you will be hidden and protected in the refuge of My Wings.
In your hiddenness, I have placed soldier angels to guard and watch over you.
When you come into My Presence, to call upon Me and seek My face, I will deliver you and honor you.
It is there you will find safety abiding in My Presence: Shelter of the Most High.”
Psalm 91
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’
Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, ‘The Lord is my refuge,’ and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
‘Because he loves me,’ says the Lord, ‘I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.
With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.’
