How often do we sit still enough to listen to the still, small voice of the Lord?

At times, it seems to come as a whisper. Other times, it’s a soft, gentle tug on our hearts.

And, in moments, it’s a loud voice speaking into our ears.

I watched the same movie three times in the past six months. Yes, three times!

The first time, I could hear the Lord whispering to me throughout the movie but I didn’t take the time to sit still and listen.

The second time, my surroundings were too busy to sit still and listen.

As I watched the movie for the third time, I came prepared to sit still and listen to the Lord.

I sat quietly; waiting and listening for the Lord. I heard Him speak:

“The greatest show is about to implode upon the earth.

My Glory will be displayed for all to see.

For what you now see will no longer be in the realm of My Authority, My Kingdom.

Use your discernment. Things are not always as what they seem to be.

Things that are unseen will be uncovered.

Be watchful in the waiting.

Do not let the sound of the stampede of horses and the shouts of the horsemen divert your attention.

Nor the whispers of the lies of the enemy speaking into your ears.

Why do you walk and tremble in fear? Did I not say that My Kingdom will reign?

All is not what it seems to be.

Do not let your heart turn dark. For when your attention is diverted, wars and rumor of wars will start.

All may seem to be lost.

Tears and anguish will seep from hearts that are broken.

But, through the rubble, a New Kingdom will arise. A New Covenant for His people.

The King of Kings will appear in all His Glory.

Angelic sounds will fill the air as the King’s Glory fills the atmosphere.

The greatest show and display of the King’s love for His people will implode upon the earth.

Be watchful. Be waiting.

The King is coming for His Bride.”

We need to step away from the noise: The busyness of life consumes our everyday and distractions that surround us at times. The Lord tells us, “Come away with Me for a while and rest.” If we don’t take the time to rest; to sit still in the quiet moments before the Lord, listening for His voice that whispers to our hearts, think of all that we will miss. Can you hear Him calling you? What is He whispering to you?

Be watchful. Be waiting.

The King is coming for His Bride.
